School Introduction
Laamu Kunahandhoo School, located on Kunahandhoo Island in the Laamu Atoll of the Maldives, is an important educational institution for the local community. ސްކޫލްގެ ތަޢާރަފު
ކުނަހަންދޫ މަކުތަބުގެ ނަމުގައި 25 ޖުލައި 1984 ގައި ސްކޫލު ފެށިގެންއައީ ކުނަހަންދޫ އޮފީހުގެ ބެލުމުގެ ދަށުން އެއިރުގެ ކަތީބު ޔޫސުފު ޢަބުދުއްރަހުމާނުގެ (ނާޒިރު) ކަމުގައެވެ. އެގޮތުން އެންމެ ފުރަތަމަ ކިޔަވައިދީފައިވަނީ ރައްޔިތުންގެ ބޮޑުހަރުގޭގަ އެވެ. އެއިރު ކިޔަވައި ދެއްވީ ގުރޭޑް 1 ން 3 އާއި ހަމައަށެވެ. އެތާގައި ކިޔަވައިދެމުންގޮސް 1992ގައި މިހާރު ސްކޫލު ހިންގަމުންދާ އިމާރާތަށް ބަދަލުކުރެވުނެވެ. އަދި 1994 ން ފެށިގެން ގުރޭޑް 1 ން 7 އަށް ބަދަލުކުރެވި 2005 ން ފެށިގެން ސަރުކާރު ސްކޫލެއްގެ ގޮތުގައި ހަމަޖެހި ގުރޭޑް 10 އަށް ކިޔަވައިދިނުން ބަދަލުކޮށް 2007 ވަނަ އަހަރު ފުރަތަމަ ބެޗް އޯލްވެލް އިމްތިހާނުގައި ބައިވެރިކުރެވުނެވެ. ސްކޫލުގައި ކިޔަވާ ދަރިވަރުންނަކީ ޤާބިލް ބަޔަކަށް ހެދުމަށް ޓަކައި އިލްމާއި ހުނަރު ތަރައްޤީ ކުރުމަށް ސްކޫލުގައި ތަންފީޒްކުރެވެނީ ދިވެހި ރާއްޖޭގެ ޤައުމީ އާމަންޙައްޖެވެ. މިޝަން ސްކޫލުގެ ތަސައްވަރަކީ ތަޢުލީމީގޮތުންނާއި އަހްލާގީގޮތުން ރަގަޅު، އިސްލާމް ދީނަށް ހުރުމަތްތެރިކޮށް ހިތާ ދަރިވަރުންތަކެއް އުފައްދާ ސްކޫލަކަށް ވުމެވެ. އަދި ސްކޫލަކީ ދަރިވަރުން އުގެނުމަށް ފަހި އަމާން މާހައުލެއް ގާއިމުވެފައިވާ ތަނަކަށް ހެދުމެވެ. ވިޝަން ސްކޫލު މުޖުތަމަޢުން ދައްކުވައިދޭން ބޭނުންވާ ތަސައްވަރަކީ ސްކޫލަކީ ޤަދަރު އުފުލިގެންވާ މުއައްސަސާއަކަށް ހެދުމަށް އެންމެން ގެ ބައިވެރިވުމާއެކު ރަހުމަތްތެރި އުފެއްދުންތެރި ގޮތުގައި ޢިލްމީ ޤާބިލުކަން އެންމެ މަތީ ފެންވަރުގައި ފޯރުކޮށްދިނުމާއި ދިރިއުޅުމަށް ބޭނުންވާ ހުނަރުތައް ދިވެހިންގެ އަމިއްލަވަންތަކަމާއި އިސްލާމް ދީނުގެ އަސްލު އުސޫލުތަކާ އެއްގޮތަށް ފޯރުވައިދިނުމުގައި ދެމިތިބުމެވެ
